This Privacy Policy ("Policy") explains how Good Business HQ LLC, a Texas limited liability company with its principal place of business in Austin, Texas ("Pardners," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, discloses, retains, and protects personal information when you access or use the Pardners mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service"). Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings given in our Terms of Service.
This Policy is part of, and incorporated into, our Terms of Service. By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Policy.
1. Information We Collect
Information You Provide.
- Account identifiers — your name, email address, ZIP code, city, date of birth or age (you must be at least 18), and, if you use Sign in with Apple, the private-relay or actual Apple ID identifier Apple returns to us.
- Authentication credentials — your password is stored only as a salted hash by our authentication provider; we never see or store it in plaintext.
- Profile content — your profile photo, bio, and selected interest categories.
- User Content — events you create, RSVPs and waitlist signups, messages you exchange with other users, ratings, reports, and any other content you submit through the Service.
- Communications with us — the contents of emails, support tickets, safety reports, abuse reports, NCII removal requests, DMCA notices, and other correspondence you send us.
Information We Collect Automatically.
- Device information — device model, operating system version, app version, language, time zone, locale, and unique device identifiers (including the Apple Push Notification service token) used for push-notification delivery and crash diagnostics.
- Usage data — actions you take in the app, screens viewed, features used, search queries, and timestamps associated with those events.
- Diagnostic data — crash logs and performance telemetry generated by the operating system or our crash-reporting tooling.
- IP address and network information — collected at the request and authentication layer for security, abuse prevention, fraud detection, rate-limiting, and law-enforcement response.
- Location information (precise or approximate) — with your permission, we collect approximate or precise geolocation data from your device in order to display nearby users, events, recommendations, distance-based filters, and other location-based features. The Service is intended for users within approximately fifty (50) miles of Austin, Texas. You may revoke location access at any time through your device settings, in which case certain features may no longer function. We do not guarantee the accuracy of location data and are not responsible for any consequences arising from location sharing or location-based interactions between users.
Sensitive Information. "Sensitive personal data" under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act ("TDPSA") and similar state laws includes, among other things, precise geolocation and certain demographic categories. We process precise geolocation only with your affirmative permission via the iOS location prompt. We do not knowingly collect Social Security numbers, government identifiers, financial-account credentials, biometric identifiers, health records, or other categories of sensitive data outside what is described in this Policy.
Information From Third Parties. We may receive limited information about you from third parties we use to operate the Service, including:
- Apple Inc. — when you Sign in with Apple, Apple provides us with the identifier described above and, if you elect to share it, your name or email (which may be an Apple private-relay email address).
- Google LLC — venue, place, and map metadata for locations you view or that an event references.
- Ticketmaster L.L.C. — public event listings displayed in the Service.
- The Movie Database (TMDb) — movie and showtime metadata.
These third parties operate as independent businesses subject to their own privacy policies for content they originate.
2. How We Use Your Information
We process personal information for the following purposes, consistent with the purpose-limitation requirements of the TDPSA, CCPA/CPRA, and other applicable state privacy laws:
- to provide, operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Service, including authentication, account management, messaging, event coordination, RSVPs, ratings, and other core features;
- to personalize your experience and surface events, users, and recommendations likely to be relevant to you;
- to send you transactional communications such as email-confirmation, password-reset, security-alert, and account-related messages, and to send push notifications you have opted into;
- to detect, investigate, prevent, and respond to fraud, spam, scraping, abuse, harassment, threats of violence, exploitation, security incidents, and violations of our Terms or Community Guidelines;
- to enforce our Terms, this Policy, and other agreements;
- to comply with legal obligations, respond to lawful requests from law enforcement, and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims;
- to protect the rights, property, and safety of users, third parties, and the public;
- to conduct internal research and analytics, including aggregating or de-identifying information for product development; aggregated or de-identified data is no longer personal information for purposes of this Policy.
We do not sell your personal information for monetary consideration, and we do not engage in "targeted advertising," "cross-context behavioral advertising," "sharing" (as defined under the CCPA/CPRA), or "profiling in furtherance of decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects" as those terms are defined under the TDPSA, CCPA/CPRA, or analogous laws. We process sensitive personal data (including precise geolocation) only with your consent or as otherwise permitted by applicable law.
3. How We Share Your Information
With Other Users. Your name, profile photo, city, age, interest categories, ratings, and any User Content you post — including event listings, messages, and comments — are visible to other users of the Service in the ways the Service is designed to display them. This is intrinsic to how Pardners works.
Any information you voluntarily share through profiles, messages, events, photos, bios, or other communications may be viewed, copied, captured, screenshotted, redistributed, or misused by other users. Pardners is not responsible for the conduct of other users or for information you choose to share publicly or privately through the Service.
With Service Providers and Processors. We share information with vendors and processors that help us operate the Service. These providers process information solely on our behalf, are bound by written agreements that include confidentiality and use-limitation obligations consistent with the TDPSA and CCPA/CPRA processor requirements, and are prohibited from using your information for their own purposes. Current categories of service providers include:
- Hosting, database, authentication, file storage, and edge functions — Supabase, Inc.
- Application hosting and email delivery — Render Services, Inc., and other commercial infrastructure providers.
- Operating-system services, Sign in with Apple, the Apple Push Notification service, and App Store distribution — Apple Inc.
- Mapping, place information, and venue metadata — Google LLC (Google Places, Google Maps).
- Event listings — Ticketmaster L.L.C.
- Movie and showtime metadata — The Movie Database (TMDb).
We may add or change service providers over time as the Service evolves. The most current description of our processing relationships is reflected in this Policy as it is updated.
For Legal Reasons and Safety. We may disclose information when we believe in good faith that disclosure is required by applicable law, legal process, subpoena, court order, or governmental request, or is reasonably necessary to (a) enforce our Terms, (b) protect the rights, property, or safety of users, third parties, or the public, (c) investigate, prevent, or respond to fraud, abuse, harassment, exploitation, threats, or other harm, or (d) protect Pardners or its affiliates from legal liability.
We may preserve, review, and disclose information where we reasonably believe necessary to investigate threats, harassment, violence, sexual exploitation, fraud, safety incidents, or unlawful activity, including cooperating with law enforcement investigations and emergency disclosure requests.
Business Transfers. If Pardners is involved in a merger, acquisition, reorganization, financing, sale of all or a portion of its assets, or bankruptcy, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will provide notice of any such transfer and any choices you may have regarding your information.
With Your Consent. We may share information with other parties when you direct us to do so or otherwise consent.
4. Your Choices
Profile and Account. You can review and edit most of your profile information directly in the app. You may delete your account at any time from within the app (Profile → Settings → Delete Account) or by emailing privacy@pardners.app. Account deletion removes your authentication record and personal profile from the Service, subject to the retention exceptions described in Section 7.
Push Notifications. You can disable or fine-tune push notifications at any time in iOS Settings → Notifications → Pardners.
Location. You can grant, revoke, or change the precision of location permission at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → Pardners. Revoking location access may disable distance-based filtering, "nearby" event discovery, and similar features.
Marketing Communications. We do not send promotional marketing emails as a regular practice. If we do in the future, you will be able to opt out via an unsubscribe mechanism in each message.
5. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under state privacy laws. We honor these rights regardless of where the request originates, to the extent practicable. To exercise any right, email privacy@pardners.app from the email address associated with your account and describe the right you wish to invoke. We will verify your identity using information already associated with your account before responding, and will respond within the time period required by applicable law (generally forty-five (45) days, with one extension permitted where allowed).
Texas Residents (TDPSA). As a Texas-resident consumer, you may request to:
- confirm whether we process your personal data;
- access the personal data we process about you;
- correct inaccuracies in your personal data;
- delete personal data provided by or obtained about you;
- obtain a portable copy of personal data you provided to us in a readily usable format; and
- opt out of targeted advertising, sale of personal data, or profiling in furtherance of decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects — as noted above, we do not engage in any of these activities.
We process sensitive personal data (including precise geolocation) only with your consent. If we deny your request in whole or in part, you may appeal by replying to our written denial within a reasonable time. We will respond to your appeal within sixty (60) days, or as otherwise required by Texas law. If we deny your appeal, you may submit a complaint to the Texas Attorney General at https://www.texasattorneygeneral.gov.
California Residents (CCPA / CPRA). California residents may request, subject to legal exceptions, to:
- know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected, the categories of sources, the business or commercial purposes for collection, and the categories of third parties to whom we have disclosed personal information;
- access a copy of the personal information we maintain about you;
- correct inaccurate personal information;
- delete personal information we have collected from you;
- obtain a portable copy of personal information you provided to us; and
- opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising — as noted above, we do not engage in these activities.
You may designate an authorized agent to submit requests on your behalf, subject to verification. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any privacy right. If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our denial and we will respond as required by applicable law. You may also file a complaint with the California Privacy Protection Agency or the California Attorney General.
Residents of Other States. Residents of Colorado, Connecticut, Oregon, Utah, Virginia, Montana, Delaware, Iowa, New Hampshire, New Jersey, and other states with comprehensive consumer privacy laws may have analogous rights, including the right to appeal and to lodge complaints with their state attorney general. To exercise any state privacy right, email privacy@pardners.app and identify your state of residence and the right you wish to invoke.
Authorized Agents. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request, provided we can verify the agent's authority and your identity.
6. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to and may not be used by anyone under the age of eighteen (18). We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a person under 18, we will delete that information promptly and terminate the associated account. If you believe we have collected information from a person under 18, please contact us at privacy@pardners.app.
7. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. After you delete your account, we will delete or de-identify your personal information within a commercially reasonable period (generally within sixty (60) days), except where retention is required for legal compliance, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, security investigations, safety investigations, or enforcement of our Terms.
Notwithstanding any deletion request, we may retain — for as long as we reasonably need them — certain logs, communications, reports, device identifiers, IP addresses, moderation records, account-history data, ban records, and other records necessary to (a) investigate or prevent abuse, harassment, threats, fraud, exploitation, or other safety incidents, (b) comply with legal obligations or respond to law-enforcement requests, (c) establish, exercise, or defend legal claims, or (d) prevent banned users from circumventing enforcement of our Terms. Aggregate or de-identified data may be retained indefinitely.
8. Data Security
We implement administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit (TLS), encryption at rest at our hosting and database layer, access controls, least-privilege access, audit logging, and periodic review of our security practices. We require service providers to maintain reasonable security safeguards consistent with the nature of the data they process.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at security@pardners.app.
9. International Users
The Service is operated from the United States and is intended for users located in the United States, primarily within approximately fifty (50) miles of Austin, Texas. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, which may have different data-protection rules than your country of residence. By using the Service, you consent to that transfer and to processing in the United States.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. The most current version will always be available within the app and at our website (https://pardners.app/privacy). We will indicate at the top of the Policy when it was last revised. When we make material changes, we will provide notice through the Service, by push notification, or by email to the address associated with your account. Your continued use of the Service after the revised Policy takes effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Policy.
